Vic Johnson
The Comeback Original

Bursting onto the pro scene in the early 1970s, Vic Johnson built a reputation as one of the game’s fiercest competitors. He carved out a career defined by fearless net play, booming serves, and marathon five-set battles under the sun. Fans loved him not just for his shot-making, but for his charisma. He had style. He had grit. And after the matches? He knew how to celebrate.

But what truly defined Vic wasn’t the parties, the champagne, or the late-night stories, it was loyalty. Loyalty to his craft. Loyalty to his era. And for decades, loyalty to the wooden racket.

When graphite  took over the sport in the 1980s, Vic famously refused to switch. While the game evolved, Vic held his ground sticking to tradition long after the rest of the tour moved on.

Yet beneath the stubborn streak was something even more powerful: authenticity. Vic has always been down-to-earth, approachable, and disarmingly likable. He’ll tell you stories about the old tour buses and legendary after-parties.

In 2026, Vic did the unthinkable. He finally embraced modern tennis technology and officially joined the Froggy Team.

What changed? Not his personality. Not his swagger. Just his equipment.  Vic represents the spirit of Froggy Tennis perfectly
